His higher-education background therefore includes East Los Angeles College, UCLA and California State University, Northridge.
Before joining the Assembly, Fong was a member of the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees. That board service was among the various positions he held in Los Angeles County before his election to the Legislature.
